***Lowering With Lower Fairings***
Ok guys, here's a little FYI to save some cursing, and tears. If you own a Street Glide, you can't put the OLD style lower fairings on it. Well, you can, I did, but I also rubbed the paint off of my fender, and both lowers. I'm partial to the old style over the new. I lowered my Ultra with stock guts I ordered based on the SG part numbers. It sets identical to an SG now. I just have some nice rub marks on my fender, and lowers. Of course I only spent about 30 bucks on my paint, so I was just like, "Hmm, that's gonna cost me about 5 more bucks".
Hope this saves someone a little hassle.

Same thing happened to me with my Roadglide. My problem was I put a fatboy front fender on with the little lip on the back/bottom of the fender and with the 1 1/4 in lowering kit it rubbed. I made some different lower clamps for the lower fairings and moved them back about 1/2 inch and it took care of the problem. That and a bottle of touch up paint and I was back in business
