Yep, I was thinking of doing the same thing. Building a couple of boxes since my feet don't reach the floor when the front wheel is at the top of the ramp and the rear wheel is still on the floor. Have the front vise all set up and it holds my FLHT pretty well until I can get off and get the tie downs on. I'll try it again once I get the rest of the junk out of the garage.

That's the exact same chock I put on mine. I love my lift so much I sleep on it and use that cradle for a pillow.

That came out of a new motorhome about five years ago. Been sitting in the garage taking up space every since. It's brand new, but I'm hauling it to the dump along with a whole bunch of other stuff I haven't used in years. The box in the back has a pair of Harley Fatshotz mufflers. Gonna keep those!

I always start the bike and walk it up onto the lift, just like going onto a trailer, never had a problem.

Be Safe JIM

My Handy lift has a 40" ramp......I start the bike, put it in first gear and feather the clutch (with right hand on the front brake lever) as I walk along on the left side of the bike.

Works pretty easily.

I wouldn't recommend riding it up there......

I ride the bike right up there is just enough room for my feet.I also got rid of that wheel vice for a wheel chock.
