They say the CV is easier to tune or adjust, for a lot less money.

Save the heads for when you do the big bore, if you remove the heads you need to pull the cylinders and replace the base rings so you might as well do it all at once.

As far as CV/Mikuni, while the CV can be fixed to run right the Mikuni IS a BETTER choice, better throttle response, better ridability, more adjustability.

If you do use a CV, DO NOT use a Dynojet or Thunderslide kit, they are a waste of money. Drag has a jet kit that works great, part # DS-195100. Comes with a new needle and emulsion tube and jets, unfortunatly it doesnt come with a 185 mian jet that most mild combos need but you can get that at the dealer part #27185-90, run the 45 pilot and start the mixture screw at 1 7/8 turns out.
