Default Need Help...Please

The other night I was out at hang out spot...when I got ready to leave I started the bike up and it sounded real funny like the front cyl wasnt firing. I rode the bike home about 10mi, when I got there I checked the codes and the code for no front cyl combustion came up. I checked spark plug wires and connections...still no joy. Today, I unplugged the PC III and tried to start, bam the front cyl was firing again. Here's wherethe help is needed, I let it run for about 2 minutes or less and it started to smoke from the front head and the right exhaust.

Is this just oil burning off from being in the cyl with no fire and all I have to do is let it burn off?

or

Is this a bigger problem?

Thanks in advance,
Moe

Was the smoke blue or black? Blue = oil, black = fuel. If it's blue smoke and continues I would say you have a problem. If it's black I would think that should clean itself up pretty soon. Sounds like the PC is hosed and stopped sending fuel or spark to the front cylinder.

White smoke? Not sure what that would be. Usually a blown head gasket in a car but these bikes are air cooled. Maybe some bad gas possibly???

As KCFLHTC said, black is fuel and it sounds like that is not your issue. More whitish is probably how someone would describe oil burning, it's a whitish-blue color. The only other thing I know of that might cause a whitish exhaust would be coolant and we know that ain't so. I agree, if it continues you may have an oil problem. The timing of unplugging the PC may have been coincidental. You may have had a fouled plug and it decided to fire at that exact moment. You said you checked the wires and connections, did you pull the plugs and look at what was going on internally?

Probably excess fuel burning off. You mention a PClll then replug EMS. Did you rehook up O2 sensors? If you haven't, why don't you rehook PC and make sure all contacts are tight then restart. Again, at this point I would'nt worry about the smoke, but be concerned about functioning of PC.

Ok, I started it back up...the smoke is whiteish blue. Its very faint now after running for a while.

I did not reOhook the O2 senors...I tried the PC III again and the front cyl wouldnt fire.

I'm inclined to believe the PC is shot and the smoke is burnoff...smoke is pretty much non existant now (I'm typing from my cell).

Thanks for the help guys, guess I'll be looking for another PCIII.
