Default High Temp question

My 07 FLHX was running hot about 260 (oil) I thought if I did a stage 1 it would richen her up but it realy didnt. What are my other options?
This is not stuck in traffic heat this is hours doing 65+ MPH.

I dont think a fan will help much if the heat is while riding? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Is the oil cooler my only option? What kind of drop in temp should I see with a HD oil cooler?

A crotch cooler is another option..It not only works in stop and go traffic but will help direct the heat from blowing up on you..

260 is a high normal on a hot day in traffic. Hopefully you are running synthetic 20W50 motorcycle oil. My 08 Ultra SE3 oil temps run 230-275 on a hot day, and I have about the same set up with an oil cooler, 20W50 Amsoil motorcycle oil.

All the newer bikes run very HOT!

The Harley stage 1 down load does nothing to the F/A ratio all it does is increase the RPM limiter to 6000 RPM.

The high heat temps are a result of the epa. The bikes come very lean from the moco. You need to get that bike on a dyno and have it tuned properly. By lowering the AFR, the bike will run cooler and you will get better performance.

I am running Moble 1 in the engine, I live in Phx and it was around 110 today. Can you tune a bike with just the fuel pak or do you need a power commander like device? Would consistantly running the bike at oil temps in the 250 to 260's do damage to the engine even if you had a good syn oil like moble 1?

Can you tune a bike that does not have a power commander type tuner?
