Anyone Ever Wash the Insert Liner Bags
While traveling out west last week I had a plastic bottle of bug repellent leak throgh a plastic zip lock and became a sticky mess in the bottom of one of the liner bags. I tried washing this out with a wet wash cloth and soap while on the road but that did not work. Has anyone every put these bags in a washing machine on gentle cycle?
Just wondering what to expect before I try this. While on the road I used one of the bike wash rags at the motel to line the bottom of the bag. It worked just fine but I kinda want to remove that towel and use the baqs as normal once again.
thanks in advance

RE: Anyone Ever Wash the Insert Liner Bags
I have liner bags left over from a 91 Ultra that I have washed (one at least) in a washing machine with no bad result. Actually they were washed by my wife and she thinks she just used regular cycle. This was a long time ago. Sorry we cannot remember the details but the bag turned out fine.

bonzo,
Not sure if this will work, but there is a product called Spot Shot, that may help. This is really a carpet cleaner and I found it useful for taking out other stains. My suggestion would be to turn your liner inside out, spray with Spot Shot, and scrub with a stiff brush. Then, add more Spot Shot and run it through the washing machine. Once washed, turn the liner outside in, then hang it to air dry.
Not sure if this would work 100%. Let me know if you decide to try it.
Thanks,
Kahuna

Thanks guys. I think I will have the wife take a shot at Gentle cycle/ spot remover and no dryer.
