Default k&n filter oil drying up ?

I have a Performance Machine super gas air cleaner which houses a K&N air filter. I noticed that it was dry the other day so I got a recharge kit and then cleaned and recharged it. Put about 100 miles on the bike the other day and noticed that the filter looks as though the K&N recharge oil is drying up or being burned up. Is that normal? I am wondering if because my Harley runs so warm that its heating up the filter and evaporating the oil. Anyone else have this problem? How heavy do I need to put on the kn recharge oil?

just a real light spray is all you should need, you dont want to see any oil dripping from the filter! if you think that it is heat drying it out then you should be thinking about fuel management and trying to burn more fuel thru the motor my preference is power commander.

I have SEST with the EFI download, I haven't gotten the bike dynoed yet, but it has been running great and cool than before the SEST.
