Any newer RK owners had this happen?

check for another plastic clear cover over the neck lock as well. I never realized i had one on this area too, until one edge peeled up a few months ago. Unfortunately, the rest of it has baked itself onto the brushed aluminum, and i am working it with WD-40 and some gentle fingernail action. Also, the brake calipers have blue films as well, which contrast more and are noticable. My dealer missed one at prep, along with the neck lock one of course...

But having said that, I've done EXACTLY the same thing with other products, where I thought a surface was damaged, but it turned out to be a plastic coating. Good to hear that your new bike's dash isn't actually scuffed!!

Bought a set of cordless phones to use around the house. Was sitting on the deck trying to program it for 5 minutes ... couldn't change the name on the screen (Alice).
Wife comes out and hears me muttering expletives at the damn thing. She takes one look at it and peels the mock screen display off the screen. Lost my man card and she still occasionally winks and refers to the cordless as 'Alice'. I'm going to blame it on my 60 year old eyes .... very embarrassing.

The plastic will always get you, but why in hell are you already waxing a '10? According to most car and bike manufacturers you should wait a year (or at least 6 months) before you wax new clear coats. All your going to do is scratch the hell out the clear coat if you don't give it time. But what the hell do I know that chemistry degree and years in product paint are probably useless.
