Shutter, you won't be able to get the shields over the wrap once your finished. De-catting will lower the heat exponentially and I would wait to do anything else after the decat, I was plenty happy with the heat issue and left it at that and you may decide the same.

I agree 100%, NO more Heat after the De Cat

Hey chipofsc, new to the forum and searching around for something else and saw your question. I'm sure by now you've done it but for the record it can be done w/o removing nothing more than the heat shield.
