Torn rotator cuff and handle Bars
#21
Another big + for the PT. I tore a tricep tendon and told the PT that I ride bikes and showed her where my arms/wrists went and the range of motion to operate the bike. She gave me specific exercises and I was very diligent. Took a couple of months, but the arm is "like new"...........(almost).........not counting some 70+ years of abuse.

The shoulder hasn't kept me off the bike though....I just take more pain meds afterwards!!

Heritage mid-height bars. My rotators are both torn and yes, it's a mess.
I have a perfect picture for you to look at which will show the angle of the bars and my arms/body. They're not the 'coolest' looking bars when the shield is off, but their damn comfy!!
I'm just loading cd's from my old computer to this one, literally. When it stops loading I'll load the pic.

Hey Yachtman, nice bike and yes thanks for the pic showing the angle, I sat on my bike duplicating what your bars look like and I think you may have a good Idea. I don't care how it looks as long as it will help me.
Which part number is you bar?

hey aznick, i tore my rotator cuff about 2 years ago, and they wanted to do surgery, but i was required to have someone drive me home from the hospital. being as my dog isn't allowed to drive, i refused the surgery. my motion is limited somewhat, but i can imagine what a pain, literally, the physical therapy would be. i've got about the same range of motion by just getting used to it. by the way, i am a firm believer that harley makes bikes with uncomfortable seats and bars so that we, the customers, buy more stuff at their parts counter.

My bars are made by Wild Ones. You can see them on their website. They are either the 517's or 518's, I can't remember but you'll know when you look at the website. While setting on the bike, my arms are in almost the same position as they are in while I'm setting in my favorite chair in my living room. I consider them to be a beach bar but they have more pullback than most other beach bars.
