To 100,000 today. and still going. Now it has required maintenance and replacement parts but it's still running. Speaking of replacing parts a few weeks ago I had to replace the Cam Gear cover because of a m@#%$@$ f#@$!%$ $2.00 screw and now I have this whining noise that comes from there and I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm not seeing anything unusual in the oil and it changes pitch with the engine speed. I don't know if I should worry about it or do something about it.

 

I'd have a good mechanic look at it....you have enough to concentrate on when ur riding without distractions and possible mech troubles in the middle of nowhere...

.....it would be worth the piece of mind...

And I would at least talk to your mechanic about your little whiny noise.
