Default Amp. gauge

What is the normal reading for the amp gauge at idle?
My 09 Ultra reads 12 amps, going down the road it reads 14 amps. Is this normal or should it always read 14 amps? Thought I'd check, my warranty is up in December.
Thanks

Agreed, def normal readings. I just put LEDs on my bike and the readings never get below 14 now.

It's a voltmeter not an ammeter and your readings are normal.

I knew it was volts and not amps, just testing you all.
