Greetings,
I just installed an Aquatic AV radio on my 09 Ultra, paired with Infinity Kappa's...... I would like to install an amp with out breaking the bank.
I have an Aquatic av and Infinity Kappa’s as well, and I installed a Soundstream amp that I got off Amazon for around $80. It rocks! Most of the time I’m only running it at about 12 to 14 on the volume level.
The soundstream and Cerwin Vega B52 and B54 are both good budget choices for 2 ohm speakers like the kappas. Not the best amp when you start talking about higher end equipment, but will work well in that application and both are tried/true entry level performers. If you decide to move up to better 4 ohm speakers later will need a better amp to drive them.
Do they all effect FM reception?
I am looking for something under $300 for front and rear speakers. Hogtunes, which are 2 ohm. And this is the extent of my knowledge. Just want something easy.
It is hit and miss. I get FM but the sound isn't great. Depends more on distance from the towers I believe. I have an IPOD and stream music from my phone. FM in Seattle sux to much talking and commercials.
