Always the same old argument from the cast wheel folks. How do you fix a flat tubeless tire roadside? I wouldn't try and run a tire with ten pounds of air anywhere. Fix-a-flat is unreliable, only (maybe) seals certain types of punctures, and leaves a mess inside your tire and rim that you can expect to pay to have removed. Tubes aren't any more prone to flats than tubeless. The only time a dealer ever bad mouthed laced wheels to me was when he didn't have a bike I wanted in stock with laced wheels. Most of my riding is two up, often loaded with gear, usually for a distance. Best thing for ANY tire is keeping them properly inflated. Why would anyone think tubeless tires don't need to be balanced?
I carry a tire plug kit and a small 12 volt compressor when I'm in the road. Patch and fill be on your way, no reason to ride on 10lbs of pressure. a plug will hold long enough to get some where else that not the side of the road in the middle of bumf#$%

Spokes look great, but cast wheels are safer and need no maintenance

Some of you are so paranoid it is a wonder you ever go out on the road. Shithappens, anytime, anywhere. For severe duty, cast be be a wiser choice. For normal riding conditions there is nothing to fear from spoke wheels. One consideration for tubed tires is the tube itself. European tubes made from a true rubber compound puncture and release the air slowly, much like a tubeless tire. The oriental made tubes "star crack", and release the air quickly.

Flats are really a very seldom occurance. Stop worrying, maintain your bike and yourself, and ride.

Spokes look cool but on a bike that 15% of the radius is showing? Spend the$$$ on something else you can notice. But then again it’s all in the details. No help I know!! sorry

Been running spokes on my Ultra Classic bikes for the past 8 years with no issues. I have over 120,000 total miles on Ultra bikes with spokes. Love the spokes. Not as difficult to clean as everyone says. Like the sparkle as I go down the road.

Cast wheels corrode over time and lose their luster. Chrome wheels and spokes always look new and fresh.

Spokes here, not much of a problem to clean. Several friends have spokes too and have had them for years with no issues.

FYI: Fat spoke wheels are sealed to be ran with tubeless tires. They don't need to be trued and are easy to clean...

I'm actually switching over to lace from my cast weels. Nothing beats the look of spokes on the right bike in my eyes. As bvet said "severe duty", cast are better.
