Have done several with no issues. Put 14" WO apes on a 2014 Ultra with ABS last week. Removed the main fuse before I started. Bled the brakes as I always do. When I had a solid lever I installed the fuse and started the bike. The ABS light flashed like usual and went out as soon as the bike was ridden. The owner took a road trip the next day with no problems and no ABS light.

I would also recommend getting you brake & cable kit from LA Choppers. When you order parts to do the swap, sometimes 1/2 the parts are back ordered. These kits will insure you have all the parts, and they all match. The coating whether you do braided stainless or black coating, do not always match from different MFG's and this really simplifies the process, i have used there kits on the last 6 or 7 jobs and been very happy with their products. https://www.lachoppers.com/catalog/c.../25/index.html

After installing a new line at the M/C, I attach a 2oz syringe filled with fluid to the r/front caliper bleeder. open the bleeder and slowly inject fluid and watch the air bubbles in the M/C disappear. This method is quick, easy, and no mess.

Thats a great idea I didn't think of... I ran a ton of fluid into the junction with a vacuum pump. But that reverse bleed would have made sure any air never actually passed through the line to the ABS module. Good call, for next time!
