Default True duals

Hi everyone: New to this site. Am seriously considering getting Reinhart true duals for 2006 FLHTC Classic. Love the look with one piece heat shield and no crossover, already have PC for my Sampson slip-on's. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

PS will also be adding oil cooler

You'll be better off with a good 2 into 1 for power and torque. You lose the balanced look of the duals though. Smokey Yunich mentioned if you're not benefiting from exhaust scavenging it's almost criminal.

hello and welcome!

got'em sittin here fixin to go on the first snow storm sometime in january?

along with a box of other engine stuff.

they look sharp and Im shure will sound second to none.

I like mods that look good sound good and perform and these babies should kick *** with some mid upper range cams and cubes, also right side heat gone.I dont care at this point if my bike's hp/tq isnt high enough for someone else.

Been running True Duals since 07 (Vance & Hines) on my 07 Road King and you can't beat the sound, the looks and the performance. If there is a drop off in low end torque, nobody told my scoot.

I just put these on my newer 08' 2 weeks ago. Added the SE A/C and just finished tuning with the TTS.
Loving the sound, deep tone and just rumbles down the road nice and smooth now that it's all tuned. Barks like a monster when you get on it (innocentlook).
And yes, they look really smooth, nice flowing lines and heat shields.

Good luck!

I use older V&H oval ports since 07 on my road king. I liked the crossover look ,so i took exhuast off installed frost plug by tig welding it in crossover tube on angle for flow. now i have true duals and experiences "no powers lost". stock harley pipe are 1 5/8. to explain My bike is with stage one only. aftermarket pipes mostly increase there size to 1 3/4. as a hot rodder for all my live ( chevy mouse motors) 1 5/8 is best lower end torque for around 6000 rpms +/-. Now 1 3/4 pipes do lower torque for street application if there isn't any additional caming, piston or head work etc. yur gain it back because now u have a system that compilments the pipes. this issues is always with debate.

I just replaced my Rinehart 2 into 1 with true duals on my 2004 road king. I can't tell an obvious difference in performance, but I LOVE the "stereo" sound of the true duals. They also, in my opinion, look much better on a touring bike than the "unbalanced" look of the 2 into 1. They have a nice rumble, but will "bark" when you crank the throttle!!

I just put on the VH big shot duals on my 08 ultra.. True duals. No more heat on my right calf, and SE performance tuner, stage one kit and a great tune by Frederick Harley Davidson. I did not see any low torque loss and actual big gains in bot HP and torque.
love my bike now!!!

I have V & H oval slip ons with stock pipes and no fuel management system at all. I have been thinking to buy a Fuel pac for it; who is the best to buy this from?

I'm wondering how true duals affect passing power. I'm not all that concerned about dyno numbers.
