The wife keeps her side pretty neat....I just throw stuff in when needed...Anyone store anything behind there side covers....Great for a mini compressor, tire plug kit, bulbs and some other small stuff.....just use a water proof storage bag...works well..

I have often carried a 18 pack of tecate on one side and a couple gallon jugs of milk on the other, and I can vouch it ain't hard to get over a hundred dollars of groceries in them.

Having a place to carry stuff is very convenient...I carry:

- Small tool kit
- Compact air compressor/tire fix kit
- HOG map (I don't do GPS... )
- Hat (helmet hair cure-all)
- Microfiber towel
- Water & goodies (if it's a long ride)

I keep a small torx, screwdriver,socket/ratchet set, zips, bike cover, rainsuits, P11 9mm, sometimes a spare pair of shoes. I keep the shock pump and paperwork in the trunk. This may change when my road service/dealer warranty lapses in 2 years. Then I may add some other items like bulbs, fuses, etc. Until then, help is a call away on my Blackberry as is my gps.

I have the usual micro fiber cloth, plexus, wipes, suntan lotion, 1st aid kit, suspension pump, all in one swiss tool thingy, HD tool kit, lighter, roll of duct tape, a small blanket that expands to the size of a house but stored it is like 1" square, roll of TP, lighter, and I use a canvas tool bag from Harbor Freight to keep it all organized.

I have those saddle bag luggage bags. You can fit a bunch of things in them & still have room. I always carry tools. Then it depends where I'm going for the rest. Extra shirt, rain gear, map, gloves & the kitchen sink.

I use those organizers that fit in the bottom of the bags.

zip ties, bungee cords, rain suit, 8in1 screwdriver, leatherman tool thingy, buck knife, clear prescription glasses, spare prescription sunglasses (after somebody stole my prescription sunglasses at a gas station once), reading glasses, paperwork (insurance and registration), 12v air compressor, tire plug kit, shock air pump, 3 sets of gloves (mesh, leather, insulated leather), the HD tool kit that came with the bike, tie down straps (after a buddy blew out his tire and a guy showed up with a trailer but never brought any tie down straps he was gonna use a rope), sunscreen, comb, chewing gum, spare cigarette lighter, ear plugs, Tylenol and Advil, Wet Wipes designed to use as toilet paper, Micro Fiber towels, hat, coozy cup holders, GPS & cradle, handkerchief, floss, glass cleaner, hand crank flashlight (so I don’t have to worry about dead batteries), pistol cable lock I use for a helmet lock, rain sock for AC, bag full of quarters, 12v cell phone charger, in the summer a long sleeve shirt (sun screen just isn’t enough here in Texas), in the cooler days a sweat shirt………..and I still have plenty of room to add leather pants and jackets as needed.

I use some clear plastic makeup bags I found at Walmart to hold the little stuff.
