If the passage is narrow and you wrap something around the bags to protect them you are just making the bike wider...

Yeh thanks for the replies, I thought you Americans had designed an item for everything! But I suppose you do not have the small garages problem like us in the UK, I better start earning more money to buy a better place

If your bags hook up with the quick disconnect thingamabobbers like the factory ones, just pop em off, back out, reinstall and ride off, 2 mins max. Or you can try wrapping them with towels to back it out, then throw towels in bags.

Ah yes this was the problem! The bags will not stand upright as they are extended, but I also looked at making a trolly to hold them, but have no space to store!
All I want is a cover to protect them, no mater how careful you are, all it needs is one second hitting the brick wall and it messes the paint period!
