I have had three disc removed over the years with no fusion. I have just added a rider backrest (adjustable) had MMC add memory foam and am waiting on WO 575 bars. I sometimes ride with a belt like someone would wear lifting heavy items as in a warehouse.

You must of rode too many "hardtails" when you were young! (I still need to call you about the mudflap. Will do so soon.)

P.S. Got a ruptured disk this winter, on meds now.......... anxious to see how the back does on long rides this summer.

3 bad discs & now pinched nerve in neck backrest and cruise control are a must for me also seems like lower handlebar height helps too and always change positons while riding but i can't stay on hiway pegs for long seems like upright sitting position is the best for me

got 2 compression fractures in the thorax area, 1 bad L5-s1 disk, and a messed up tail bone from a fall in 2001. I finally decided to do something about it and went to pain management. gave me a shot for my tailbone which helped alot. also, got put on celebrex and that seems to take some of the edge off. backrest helps alot too. pain aint no fun and really screws up a good ride. hope you can find something to help.

L-5 S-1 that never healed,(installed donor tissue on 4 different occasions but never took) L-4 L-5 caged, shaved L-3 thru L-1 and i added a Reach seat, re-adjusted the bars and played with the air in my rear shocks (01 has front & rear air) and can run about 6 to 700 miles a day before calling it quits.
