Default Big Shot Duals, quiet baffles or no?

Howdy all,

Has anyone that installed the big shot duals go for the quiet baffles? I understand that they take some of the metallic pop out of the sound and leave you with a nice rumble. True? Not true? Just looking for opinions...

Thanks,

-PB

I had those pipes on my 07 road king and after a few months of the standard baffles I switched to the quiet baffles, did quiet them down some but like you mentioned, they took the harshness away, less crack more rumble

I dont know I am in the same dilemma. I have bought the baffles already but have not installed them. At idle your description is good. " take some of the metallic pop out of the sound " I dont notice that when riding it. I will end up putting the baffles in I am sure.

Leads us the next question. How much will that change the tune????

I think they make a difference. In a good way. I think I have a set of the Big City quiet baffels laying around if anyone is interested.

I have them on my 2011 RG Custom, and love the sound without baffles. Would love to hear sound with quiet baffles though, but LOUD PIPES saves lives!!!

My fishtails are just the big shot slipons with a different end cap. If you have the full system the quiet baffles will be fine. If you just have the slipons with a stock catted headpipe, it will sound weezy, pathetic, and sad at idle (with the quiet baffles only). I know from experience.
