Default V&H Monster Rounds or Ovals ?

Need a little help here , can't decide which one to get Rounds or Ovals. Which one is louder ? Which has a deeper tone ? Also which one to match it up to Power or Dresser Duals ? Sound profile or video will be helpfull Thanks in advance.

I was undecided between the Ovals and Rounds and called V&H before pulling the trigger. They told me that sound levels would be the same, and it was simply a matter of looks. However, the Ovals are wider so there's more potential for scraping in turns. In the end, I went with the Rounds and Power Duals - if I later decide to go with extended bags with cutouts, they will fit nicely over the Rounds.

Have the monster ovals on my 2010 EG Classic and am really happy with them. Nice deep tone and louder than stock but not so loud as to make cruising uncomfortable or drown out the stereo. Mine are paired with the stock header pipes.

I've had both: neither is loud,
both have a deep rumble that will vibrate the building when they bring it around out of the shop (that's the only time I get to hear them from a distance).
I do believe the Ovals are a deeper, more rumbly sound.
The Rounds fit perfect with extended bags though.

After a while I got to thinking the Ovals looked to big. Kind of a Honda over-kill look.
The Rounds aren't so "in your face" look as the Ovals.

Buy either one you will be happy if you don't want a loud pipe.

I've never heard the rounds but I'm always getting compliments on the way my monster ovals sound with the power duals. my 2 cents

I bought the MRs just because I preferred the look and maybe my next ride will be SE SG.

I'm running dresser duals and monster ovals. I like 'em a lot but tons of baggers have them. I don't see as many with the rounds, so I say go with the rounds.

This is good advice.

I've not owned a set but have seen and heard both. I like the looks and sound of the rounds better. "Not so in your face" is a good way to put it.
