My 2003 FLHTC says Certified. The only thing on that bike that is certified is the owner!

 

Yep, Harley hype. It doesn't mean a damn thing.

 

Wouldn't worry about brakes being replaced. I replace mine with every tire change (rear) even tho i use the front more. I replaced mine with the EBC pads due to price. At 27000 miles since i bought it in 07 im on my 3rd set of rear and second set of front. My 01 speedo also has certified on it.

 

So, if I am wearing a Certified Speedo at the beach, it means nothing?

 

In Greece perhaps its no big deal but here that would be something to laugh at...

My 06 EG has the "Certified Harley-Davidson" on the speedo. Came that way new and has never been changed. The word certified doesn't appear on the speedo for my 2011 RK.

 

Thanks, Bodean, and everyone who responded. Glad to know that many of you have bikes that say "Certified" on the original speedometer. Maybe I was worried for nothing. There's nothing else about the bike that would indicate it's got more miles than what the odo shows. Looks like it just rolled out of the showroom.

My '06 Road Glide said the samething.
My '11 Limited just sez Harley-Davidson.

 

To keep up with production needs a certain percentage of Harley's are knock-offs totally made in China. They are slide in at the end of the production line. These do not carry the certified badging. My speedometer does but my later add on tac is probably made in China
