I've got to do something with my sound system as well. I can't hear it very well after 40 mph while listening to XM. For some reason XM is not as loud as the stock radio sound.

I've also noticed on my Harley that a CD plays way lower than my iPod.

Why do so many put 2 different brand 6.5's in there fairing & lower fairings? Is there a reason for it?

If you describing the holes that you can cut to put the speakers in the inner fairing,...its because you need a shallow mount speaker in that hole. Therefore your not carving up your glove boxes.

I was actually talking about how people do the 5.25 to 6.5 swap on the speakers in the fairing they'll have one brand there than a different one on the lower fairings but that info you gave me above is good info if I ever do those.
