I wasn't having problems with my 08 Ultra, I just wasn't happy with it. It was time for the 35k service and it needed a new rear tire, possibly some other things too so I started looking at trading. Started shopping around some and went to a Dealer about 60 miles north, they offered my 14k for mine.

I requested a quote on line that night from a dealer about 80 miles south on one they had in stock, (used 09). They called the next day and offered me 17k for mine. Two hours later I was looking at it and left a deposit.(Sunday) Tuesday I left on the 09 and love it. Went from an 08 with 35k miles to an 09 with 6557 miles and dropped my payment $6.00 a month.

I say trade it off but make sure you shop around for the best deal. Big difference from one dealer to another.

BTW, want to guess what my problem was/is?
You left it open... and I plainly stated I and a smart @$$... so I'll take a guess at .... FORD? enlighten me, out of sick curiousity

All things considered whining won't help. I will work with the Motor Company to do something to make this right.

For that rubbing issue with the drive belt, make sure your belt isn't rubbing on the battery cable. Someone had a thread going showing their almost completely gone belt along with a battery cable worn halfway through.

I say as long as they are making good and no dime outta pocket it'll continue to have new parts, now if those parts start to fail dump it on the dealer and go newer.

Dumped it. 2011 road glide ultra with a 103. Dealer offered a deal that could have only been sweeter if the bike were paid off. He bought mine for low retail, and made adjustments on floor stock. He needs room for the 2012 bikes... So all in all, I'm happier, but still screwed as far as the money goes...
