I'm not an aggressive rider at all compared to the other guys and ladies I ride with. About average I'd say. The overall wear is great for 10,000 miles and looks like I could get several more. The only real sign of any wear is the cupping. I'm just afraid of how it may affect handling in the turns as it gets worse.

Got some cupping on the first rear in the last half of its life, replaced at 20k. No issues except some light howling in corners. The second on the bike now has 10k, is cupping a bit on the edges like the first, and wearing about the same.

I don't understand the criticism of these tires in the handling dept., though apparently limited to one person, as I find them stellar in wet and dry. I ride aggressively in the twisties but not on the straightaways.

I absolutely agree about the E3's handling. I put three or four different brands of tires on my bike before I had the E3's put on the first time. Left the next day for Arlington National Cemetery or a funeral mission. Rode for 3 days in the rain and wind and did not have a handling problem. Riding two up and pulling a trailer, love the way they handle to rain, grooves and what ever else in on the roads.Great tire...customer for life or until someone invents one that will last 50,000 like a car tire.

Wow, I must be doing something "wrong" as I get about 8k-10k on a rear tire and change the front every other time I change the rear. I always run 40 psi, don't overly torque the throttle, ride 2-up about 30% of the time, and don't carry anything extra in the tourpack. Hmmm...

With regard to "cupping," I don't have the issue on the rear, but notice it on the front when I've got about 12-14k miles on it. I feel it more on hard cornering and hear the "whine" then...

But I still would not go back to stock Dunnies... These are the best things I've found for grip and ride quality...
