I have been having issues with the cruise control on my 07 RG lately, it works intermittently and last time it started working as I was cruising along at 75 it started picking up speed on it’s own at 82 I hit the front brake and it didn’t shut down ( I had visions of that movie about the car that had a mind of it’s own) so I turned the cruise switch off. I checked it when I got home by turning on the key switch with the cruise on set and the light was red after a few times it came on green, the cruise worked fine the first time I tried it again, after I shut it down by using the front brake it would not set again. Is there a way to diagnose the cruise issues?
Yep, check under cruise control in the electrical diagnostic manual and it will show you how to troubleshoot it. Could be an issue with your front brake switch itself.

I have had that problem in the past so that was the first thing I checked and the brake light is working properly
