FM Map Accuracy
Put my bike on the dyno Friday in St Louis. I could tell it was running a little lean at roll on and wanted to really get it dialed in. Still it wasn't running bad, just knew it could do better. I think FM did a pretty good job on this configuration considering I got the impression this was maybe a new one for them. Sure, 255s are common but maybe not so much in 2010/2011 models. Blue is FM, red is final. Yes, I know it's STD, but that's what I have.
their maps are pretty much spot on - you must be a "human dyno" if you can feel the difference in less than 2hp!!! I'm a little ticked FM told me they don't have a map for my bike after getting headwork done, moving on to a thundermax.
When I was auto-tuning with the PCV I found their maps very close. Either way those are very good numbers, IMO, but I'm surprised one of their maps would run 14:1 anywhere in the operating range.
