Wild 1 575 on a Limited and clutch cable
I have received a lot of good information here and plan the above bars on the bike. Several comments have said that a +4 clutch cable is needed but how long is that. I have looked on a few sites, Dennis Kirk for one, and they list lots of cables but by length, not + or- any application. Any suggestions on the best cable, or ones to avoid, and ordering source and for the bars for that matter.
Interesting note, the Dennis Kirk site lists a different pullpack for the bars as compared to the Wild 1 site.
Getting ready to do this and want to have everything I need on hand. Thanks

I'm playing the same game myself. I have also found DK bar dimensions off from manufacturers dimensions. In regards to cable lengths in DK on the first page of each brands clutch cables they list the stock length for each bike...in the next section they then offer different lengths. Just have to do your own math. Of course I'm assuming the stock dimensions they(DK) list are correct??? Hope that helps.

The barnett cable that says it's OEM is 62" so a +4 would be a 66". I am going to call Barnett in the morning and see what their suggestions are and which part# works.

I looked om th HD parts list on the HD site and couldn't find that part#. I did locate the stock cable part# 38921-09 listed at 62.69" in OEM and the black dianond cables, the part # 38923-09 is listed as 66.69" so I guess that meet the +4" requirement. There is also a +2 listed.
At $100 it twice what others are charging.
But if it works, what is another hundred here and there.

38649-08 is the stock cable used on TLE models and is a longer cable (+3 or +4). That is what I use on my sweepers.

i just put that setup on my 2011 ultra limited and my brothers 2011 SG really comfortable now. ordered from dennis kirk part #59-5804 for bars and part #19-05381 for drag specialties +4 cable. brake lines and other wires are long enough you will have to run wires internal on these bars was able to find out how to remove wires on here had service manual and this very helpful site

I just finished this same setup. Rode it yesterday for the first time. What the others have stated is correct. I went with a +4 magnum shielding cable. Awesome finish and the website is very easy to use. +4 will be 66 and change long and will probably cost you at least a buck an inch depending where you get it. I went with +12 wire extensions as I was putting it together just to give myself plenty of room because the stock length, although workable did seem to be coming up short and cramped...if that makes sense. I would also recommend getting the throttle wire extension as this gave me fits on reassembly as well (too short). All in all a very doable job for some nice comfy bars that change your riding position for the better. Hope this helps. Thanks for listening to the likes of me...
