I've read of some RV and Self Storage lots that give a discounted rate for a week or weekend where you could leave a truck and trailer and not have to pay for the whole month.

You might try calling some of the bigger outfits to see if they offer any short time rates.

Also if you are meeting in an area that has at least one you might look into commercial parking lots that would let you park for more than one day at a time.

Regardless of how you guys start your ride and it really isn't anyone's business but your own, I hope you guys have a great time on 2 wheels.
Actually he is asking for "touring advice" and wants to "maximize riding time".
He does ask for a safe place to leave the SUVs and trailers.
Assuming he lives in a safe place the correct answer is at home.

Igor all the anti-trailer comments. A few good suggestions. Personally the hotel idea makes sense. I always slept better knowing the bike was locked up, secure, out of the weather over night. Rode with a repo-guy, out of Ft Worth, for a couple weeks. As a precaution at night, we backed the rear of the trailer up to a wall...based on his experience. Good luck finding a suitable location.

I know there are good reasons for trailering (spouse, leaving Northern cold in winter, to go south, etc.. but if it's summer why trailer? You lose time on a bike buying gas and stretching, but you don't have to load and unload trailers. Just asking, not judging. If you still want to trailer, don’t we need to know where you guys plan to meet, to advise?

I agree. Why trailer the bike to the meeting point, why not just ride there, and enjoy yourself that much more?
