Carlini Questions
Hey All..
I'm interested in doing the Carlini bars.. Either ganster or Evil Apes.. Is there any way to install the 1.25" with out using their risers, and retaining the cover that sits over the top of the bars? I love the clean look of the road king on top of the bar mounts, but the Carlini's look like they don't have the recessed part in the middle of bars to fit in the clamps.. Hmmmm.. Hope I made sense.

Several vendors have an aluminum 1-piece riser clamp especially for Road Kings using bars with a 1.25" or 1.5" diameter clamping area. Mine uses four set screws that hold the bars from turning in the clamp. Cost was around $120.
The stock riser cover will accept up to 1.5" bars, but the aluminum block of the clamp shows in the gaps - I should've painted the block black before mounting it on the bike.
Another thing to keep in mind is the riser bushings. The stock rubber bushings are barely adequate for the lighter stock bars. I upgraded to the H-D poly bushings for my heavier bars/clamp. Apes may need solid riser bushings.
