Default New Scooter

Here's a couple of pics of my new scooter.

Last Saturday the wife and i purchased an '11 Road King Classic. We had 2 bikes, but were needing to downsize for a while.

I sold my '09 EGC outright and we traded her '09 Heritage.

We ended up scoring a really good deal at a local dealer. Yeah, I know, right?!

$1400 more for the trade than what it was worth, under MSRP AND killer financing. I guess it helps that this is the 3rd bike we've personally bought from them the 10th bike bought from them for the group we run with.

I'm having the Heritage bars put on later this week and the ceramic Jackpot headers when they come in from back order.

Anyways here's the pictures.

Default Heritage bars...

Me too. just bought a '11 FHLR and this Saturday I'm picking up some bars for it. Man I'm 6'1" and think that these stock bars were made for a person 5' none. I really hope that there is no cable work involved like everybody says.

I'm 6' even and yeah, the stock bars leave something to be desired for me. Add to that my already bad lower back and I've got to do something. I'm really looking forard to giving them a try.

I may end up with apes later, but I figured I'd try the cheap route first.

Congrats to the OP on the new RKC, sweet ride.

Just did heritage bars - 2 hours and absolutely no extras needed. Be sure to shim the front brake lever (as discussed on these forums). I am 6-0 and the bars are great.

had mine done at the dealer. i told them the only way i would buy it was if they put heritage bars on it at their expense. they didnt have to change anything. im 5'9 and they are about 4-5 inches below my shoulders.

i plan on goin the ape route as soon as i save up some $$$ had them on my last scoot and loved 'em.
