so ive been wondering how warm my engine is here lately as our ambient temps have been in the mid to upper 90's for over 2 weeks and after my 30 mile drive home i used infrared temp gun on front and rear heads and crankcase and got 280 for front and 315 for rear...and approx 250 for crankcae.... is this normal???? i have a pc5 and v&h propipe..................thanks .........................tim

 

Just returned from a 4 day trip on my 2011 Electra Glide Ultra Limited with the 103. Rolled into the garage and pushed the button on my LCD dipstick. It showed 281. WTF??!! We were running 75 mph for about 3 hours in about 100 degree temps. I am running PC5, FuelMoto stage 1 with their Dyno Tuned Jackpots. My 96'er never went over 250.

 

Went for a ride today, it was 105. I have a Power Vision and it showed the head temp at it's highest of 282.
