HD Hammock seat is wonderful. The only problem is that on pre 09 models the passenger gets slid towards the front at every stop. It seems to be the angle of the seat. Other than that, its the best IMO......FT

Don't buy a Sundowner seat from Harley... I bought one and 5,000 miles later the stitching was coming apart. My dealer and HD corporate won't do anything about it. I'm stuck with a seat with foam poking out of the stitching.

Mentioned before or not: I absolutely love my Mustang Vintage Solo.

Rode up to Toronto & back a few weeks ago (850 miles each way) and never had a problem in the butt area.

I have a Mustang Vintage Super Solo. Exceptionally comfortable. However, butt-ugly. Looking for something different. It does sit you farther back has advertised, but raised me up higher. May keep it for long rides, but most likely will sell it once I get a new seat.

Looking at trying Corbin Classic Solo or Danny Grey Bigseat w/Backrest.

I've put about 1,000 miles on my new Road Zeppelin seat...it's there forever.

Russell Day Long saddle. It will be made for you. Costs a lot, but will probably be the last seat you'll every buy.

I ordered one from Dennis Kirk. It arrived yesterday. It went back to Dennis Kirk yesterday.

The general look and fit was very disappointing. Thread seams were not parallel. Where you would expect lines to be parallel or perpendicular to the RKC trim they were not. The front of the seat sat about 3/8" above the tank rather than on it making a gap between the tank and the seat bottom. I got the driver's seat back with it. Again, disappointing. Would not lock into any position except the lowest. It flopped forward. Kind of a "home made" design.

The feel, as I sat on it, was like sitting on a piece of plywood. My wife tried out the passenger section and simply told me that it was going back.

Yes, it was a Gel seat. Like plywood. And, if you like the feel of sitting "in" the bike, forget it. Though the ad on their site says it is HD OEM height I felt like I was sitting on a piece of plywood that went from the middle of the tank to the top of the stock seat passenger section.

I am 6' tall. W/ the stock seat I can plant my feet flat on the ground either sitting or standing. I can easily walk the bike. I can easily back up. Not with the Saddleman Explorer.

Very disappointed.

Put a HD Hammack on the bike today and drove it around the HD dealership parking lot and such. Of course, it fit's my RKC like a glove. Like it was suppose to be there. I would like a taller back for lower back support. Wife likes it and has approved it. She likes the seat width.

We also sat on a couple of new baggers. Electra Glide... Ultra... That seat is nice. Tall back for lower back support. Would like some feedback about what others think of it.

I've got one on my BMW, ordering one for the Ultra. I'll be selling my HD Hammock seat when the Russell comes in.

Russell turned me into a seat snob, IMHO, these are the best, and they are made for YOU. It's the difference between a tailor made suit, and a rack suit. Just sayin.
