Default Front Brake Light Switch Replacement

For those of you that have screwed up your front brake light switch I have found an alternative to the $60 one at Harley. Dennis Kirk sells one for $16.95 and the part # is 214590. I ordered one today and I will let you know how the install goes. I know there are people that have fixed these by using a screw or epoxying a piece of plastic to the end of the switch but I opted for replacement because I didn't want to get rear ended because my brake lights weren't working. Actually they are staying on all the time because I broke the tip off the switch while doing a lever replacement. For those that dont know, like me, there is an actual procedure for this that calls for a piece of card board installed between the lever and housing to keep the lever from breaking this switch during removal. Actually the end of a tywrap works better.
