Around midnight last night I decided to change my windshield...

Lol quite the contrary. I work in my garage at night. Otherwise I'll have a bunch of my friends hanging around and I get distracted.
Thanks, and yeah, that's how it seems to work out.
Yep...same here!

So far so good but not as productive as I had hoped. Forks and misc. front end parts powdercoated, new seals and Progressive springs and all of the broken fairing brackets welded and powdercoated. Starting to forget how the fairing goes back together so I'll start on that tonight when I'm a little more awake. I have to drill a hole in the inner fairing to route the throttle cables through anyway. I want to be focused when I drill a hole in something I'll be staring at every time I ride. I also need to shorten my kickstand now because it wants to lean to the right with the rear air ride lowered all of the way.
...and I haven't even removed the new windshield from it's packaging yet lol.
Thanks for the support!

Thanks!
FINALLY got to install the windshield! Just got back from a test ride and the new front suspension is an amazing enhancement. I was only going to ride around the square mile but ended up riding around town for a couple hours.
My first pile has been reduced to empty boxes & a few parts I'm not going to use and some I'll be modifying this winter when I take it apart for paint.
First pile
New pile!
How I got the bike
And so far...which seems the prelude to a long journey ahead.
Street Glide inner fairing and new music. The stereo is loud now and since I can make my exhaust quiet while I'm riding makes it even better. I like the fairing mounted mirrors. No more shake, but while I had it apart I replaced the haggard riser bushings so that could've been part of the shaking handlebar mounted mirrors.
I'm happy with the way it sits, rides, handles and sounds. I'll ride it like this until it snows then I'll change the looks to favor more of my personal preference. I should have the service manual by then. That should make things easier lol.
Thanks again.

Yes sir! It's a 69. Most ppl think it's a Chevy II with a Ford motor. My dad bought that car brand new when he worked at our local AMC dealership. He toted that thing around drag racing (between his military duties) until 71 when my sister was born then he disassembled it all & boxed it up. I had only seen the car in pictures until a few years ago when I talked him in to digging it all out. We restored it together and it has since won the AMC America Cup and Hurst Cup awards. It's all stock (mostly original parts) with the exception of a Tremec 5 speed instead of the factory 4 speed but shh on that lol.
