i just got a new v&h pro pipe chrome and starting install. when i got to the part of install for the transmission mount it has two one short and one long. the instructions say they will be stamped and i would need the 592-p bracket. both of my brackets are not stamped. has anyone ran in to this same problem

 

what year of bike? The older bikes use the long bracket if I remember right. I put one on a 99 RK last year and im pretty sure I had to use the long one to clear the trans cover.

 

I just finished installing my v&h power pipe and there should be three black brackets.The one short with three holes is the floorboard spacer bracket.The longer 9" black one goes directly behind the x-pipe and the third one with three holes is the tranny mount.Hope this helps.

Had the same problem, called V&H and they cleared it up for me, long bracket for 5 speed models, short one for 6 speeds.
