Do you open or close the lowers for less

Default Do you open or close the lowers for less

torbulence highway or does it not matter. I have a 2011 ultra and seems it rides better with them open. What is your experience? Especially with mild wind it rides better with them open. I see no difference slow riding. Thanks.

I took mine off. They get in the way of my big feet.

I generally ride with them open year round. There seems to be less updraft turbulence that way. If I have them closed I've had half empty large soda cups like from Firehouse Subs (not a plug) lift out of my glove box cup holder from Captain Itch (that is a shameless plug!) and leave the bike.

I don't see a lot of difference but I don't run very often above 65 or 70 MPH. Often I have to look down to see if they're open or closed.

when it is raining or snowing I like to keep them closed, when it is summer I like them hanging in my garage.

If it is cold I close them and if its warm or hot I open them.

What he said....plus I don't see any issues around turbulence with them closed.
