Default Bike to Bike Communication

I have been reading quite a few threads on bike to bike communications. But haven't found the exact information I am looking for. What I am looking for is a unit that works to communicate from one bike to another bike that will work with or with out a helmet. When I am required to wear one it is a half helmet. My other question is I would still like to be able to hear my radio.
thx.

Default Headset

The behind the head headsets will work with a 1/2 helmet or with no helmet. You can listen to the tunes through the headset. When you get CB comms, it will interupt the music.
Here's a link to a cheaper (Lower cost) one. I haven't tried them yet, but probably will.

The Bike to Bike Comunucation is a CB Radio.
There is the Hand-Held CB Microphone Kit (76312-98) that just plugs in the headset plug. Then just route the sound out the Fairing speakers. No headset required.

Fits '98-later FLHTC, FLHTCU, FLHTCUTG and FLTRU models.
Also fits models equipped with Bike to Bike Communication Kits (77107-09, 77108-09A and 77173-08).

+1 on the hand signals. Sometimes you only need to use one finger.

We have the IMC motocom headsets. I use the CB on my Ultra, my wife has a midland portable CB. The hand mike would also be an option for me.

There are non-CB bike-to-bike systems available, although I have had no luck with them. They ain't cheap! The two brands commonly used here in the UK are Starcom and Autocom, although they are both owned by the same company now. They make an interface box used with a short-range radio that provides the bike-to-bike link. All the brands (there are others) of these things make bold claims of how great they are, but I have stopped throwing money at them now, they are just too troublesome and flawed IMHO.

Having identified your communication device, you can then solve how to use and operate it, with or without a helmet.

I'm gonna 'assume' you're talking about the Bluetooth helmet to helmet communication systems. Have never heard of one that work both ways. I use a Sena with a 1/2 helmet (with ear buds), and one with a FF helmet (internal speakers). The Sena's work very very well. This one is designed to work without a helmet. http://www.senabluetooth.com/product..._menu=overview Yes to be able to hear your radio.
