How many trailer rather than ride
#61
600 mile days of interstate riding are no problem for me; I do it several times a year for family/beach/golf trips, and ship the golf equipment via FedEx to my destination.
However, when I do my next Sturgis trip (not during the rally), I'd prefer to trailer the bike at least some of the way because there is nothing more boring than ticking the miles off from Atlanta to St. Louis and westward.
Just do whatever you're happy with.

I’ve been riding since the sixties and ridden on three really long rides.
Nowadays, I’ve gotten too used to my truck’s Captains seat, satellite radio, climate controlled cab, windshield wipers, ice chest, food, coffee in a Thermos, firearms, ammunition, tools, motorcycle jack and whatever else I deem or decide to carry with me on long trips.
The last long trip I took with my scoot on a trailer was to Key West. I had a great time there and I wasn’t worn out when I got there after two long days of driving.
So yeah, I trailer long distances and I still have a blast every trip.
I even get to carry my full camera bag, too…

My wife doesn't ride with me and we have a 2 year old so unless I'm going on a long trip without my family I'd trailer. I would love to ride the 500 miles but I'd much rather be with my family and if that means trailering then that's what I'll be doing and not caring what anyone thinks about me.

Don't mind doing long rides, haven't done more than 300 mi in one day, but trailer sometimes because of time restraints and want to put the miles on 'her' at our destination....... Love my Road King.... Never plan on selling or trading this one... Will just add another bike to the stable!!!!

To ride a long distance on a bike say 1,600 miles could take up to 3 days if the weather is good longer if it's bad so I depends on how many days you have for travel 1,600 days in a truck or car would be a day and half trip. I watch all the trailers come to town for Thunder Beach to me it looks like a whole lot of reasons kids, wives, lot's of vacation stuff.
