Default Road King Apes and a Windshied? Pics?

Okay, I have the been bitten by the ape hanger bug for my Road King. Thinking 14" or 16". But I admit I really like my windshield, but not sure how it will look with the apes. Most pics don't include the windshield.

Can you Ape Kings that run a winshield post any pics for me please?

Apes look fine with a windshield. They look funny with a batwing to me but I guess it is a necessary evil for comfort. Anyway, you have probably seen my pic already if you are looking at apes on RKs but here are some 12 1/2" wild one's. I think they are the W502's. Not extreme and they could be taller for me at 6'. BTW the windshield is a 19" tall LongRide. If you want a different angle shot just ask.

WO 14's, with a 19" LRS shield. The 19" LRS shield is about 3" shorter than stock, by reference.

My sig pic is my '02 with W502's (12.5") apes and stock windshield. I'm 5'6" and they were the best mod I've ever done. Some that are normal height (I acknowledge I ain't average height) and above seem to like them as well, while others do want taller. Go figure. I was worried about looks when the dealer first suggested them, but putting them on was the best thing I've done to improve my comfort on the bike and I think they look just fine. If you need more pics let me know, but I think you can see them pretty well in the signature.

When I had my 09 Road King I had 16" Harley Apes installed. BEST move I made when I owned the bike. Was SUPER comfortable and looked great. I thought I had a photo laying around but I do not. As cool as they looked without the windshield I must say, I kept my windshield on about all the time. Thought they looked just find with the windshield on. And I'm VERY picky on how my bike looks!!! I'm 5'9" and the 16's where perfect for me!

Good luck with your choice!

Ride safe!

Default 14" Wild Ones

Pic is in the sig. I need to update it because i have since raked the bars forward as far as they will go without rubbing the windshield. The other posters are correct.....most comfortable mod I did was apes

sorry...I though the pic had the windshield on
