So I ordered a 21" and 16" Sinister wheel combo from HOGPRO. I was going to go with a 17" or 18" rear cuz that seems to be the common answer, but I'm short. 5'6" on a good day. I already have Street glide rear shocks for my 2011 RKC, and a new suspension from progressive that will drop the fron 2" Any one running this set up or similar? I just want to make sure in my efforts to sweeten the look I do not ruin the comfort of the ride. I also have stretched bags and a baddad rear fender going on. any imput would be appriciated.
I'm 5'8" and have a 21" front with 16" rear, progressive monotubes -2", I have plenty of foot on the ground with a bend in my knees, the bike handles great.
I moved up from a a fat Bob. I love what the King can do and how it rides. I just happen to be short. ha. Thus the mods. I got about 30" on the inseem. And honestly I can read threads all day about wheels combos and what other not-so-tall riders do to make mission, but at the end of the day I find myself REALLY wanting that warm and fuzzy feeling after dropping that kind of money! I dont care if the rearis ever seen, I just need to make it all work!
Dbell - re you able to use the OEM kickstand or did you require a different one once your changes were made?
I'm running a 21in front on my Street Glide with the 16in stock rear. I thought about changing the rear but decided i didn't want to spend another $1500 on a wheel i can't see. As far as handling, i think it handles better than stock. I did lower the front suspension 1 inch. The rear has different shocks but still the stock 12in height.
I have not put it all on yet, the wheel/tire package is enroute. I do have street glide shocks to put on the RKC, but am considering seeing what progressive has that may be just as good or better than OEM, but lower than stock RKC, ( SG is about 3/4" shorter than RKC)

If you install stock Street Glide air shocks then i suspect you'll be as unhappy with the ride as most Street Glide owners. I tried a set of Progressive 940s and some expensive Race Tech shocks and both were too stiff for me. Right now i'm running some HD premium lows and very happy with them.
