Hey, you already have the shocks, and it doesn't take much effort to bolt them on. Might as well give them a try. Some guys are ok with them.

I have the 21-17 combo with 1" lower in rear and 1" and half in front and have no kick stand issues.

Dbell - re you able to use the OEM kickstand or did you require a different one once your changes were made?
The only issue with the kickstand is the wheel has to be turned to the left, if you try to keep the wheel straight or to the right, the bike is likely to fall over, but that's not really an issue to me, plus I have a center stand also.

You're not doing a radical change. You shouldn't have any issues.

Kick stand should be fine, if it feels like it is sitting up to straight because you lowered the bike there is a wedge you can buy pretty cheap.
But all touring bikes have the same kick stand part number.

$20 - $30:

Jiffy stand to tall, go to a Street Glide, or Road King Custom Jiffy stand.

MR Hog - yeah I did not think so when I lowered my Fat Bob slightly. But the difference was enough that I had to be extra careful deciding where to park, and the bike sat up at such a higher angle that it once blew over in winds that it would not have if I had not screwed with it... so i am a little more nervious about it this time.
