Where to tie down an 09
Street Glide at or near the bags. Yesterday we put two bikes on the trailer to see where we wanted to put the chocks. We got them placed and the spots on the trailer to tie down the forks but when we looked for an anchor point to use for the rear of the bike to the trailer floor and side, we couldn't find a good spot to come off the bike . Where have any of you used to tie off from the rear. Any suggestion welcomed.

you know NOT to tie using the handlebars? ( bars are on compressable bushings, so not a firm attachment point, most bars will also rotate under enough pressure, loosening the straps and maybe dinging your tank)
tie to the frame near the crashbar, put a little tension to compress the forks an inch. ( or if your straps will attach to the triple tree)
rear, you can go through the wheel to keep the rear from moving side to side, and a 45º angle to the rear to keep it from moving forward
I usually place in gear and use zip ties to lightly apply brakes
when towing remember that you can control rates of acceleration and turns--- but you must PLAN for a panic stop.
that is the unexpected, don't allow your bike to climb into the cab with you.

check the manual to turn off the alarm systems

This link may help. Use wheel chocks and ALL straps forward.

I used this on the front of my RKC on a recent trip. Worked out great and very hard to see on the bike.

That was neat for the front but the only problem is see is with the rear and that really isn't a problem just not an easy spot to access.
Thanks
