I am planning a cam chain tensioner upgrade for my 06' Ultra. I have the manual for my bike but I would like to know the torque specifications for the tensioner bolts to the newer cam plate and the oil pump bolts to cam plate. Also, I have read about adjustable push rod adjusting methods until my eyes crossed. When the adjustables are correctly and fully adjusted are they the same exact length as the OEM PR's? Thanks for your input.

 

Did you buy the parts yet? I'd go through the tank instead of adjustables if you are reusing cams or using a cam that will allow stock pushrod length. The instruction sheets that come with the upgraded parts will list the torque specs on the tensioner assembly and oil pump, etc.

yes I ordered most everything this weekend from Lake Shore HD. Andrews 48N cams from Direct Harley parts. Haven't settled on which lifters yet but leaning toward Comp Cams 850-1 or HQ Black Ops. Decisions, decisions.
