21 in wheel concerns...

love mine, just did it at bike week this year
went with PM Luxe in Chrome and love the look of the 21/18 combo
to the others that asked about an 08 SG - yes a 21x3.5 front and 18x4.25 will fit with NO issues on a stock 08 SG - mine are on metz 880's so maybe they are better than avon I have no clue
all I can tell you is that the bike finally handles - no more disconneted feel from the road riding around on those 16inch rims with balloon tires.
the bike cruises so nice now, and I love the extra feel in the turns.
now I live in FL so our roads are apparently better then up north's crappy pothole and cracked crap you call roads, but we still get our fair share of crap wrong with our roads, wouldn't change to an 18 for anything, love the look and love the ride.
Yes it will sit higher in the front, yes it will take slightly more effort to get it off the kickstand, but it's not that much more, and if you struggle with the difference, then you shouldn't be riding one of these heavy 800lbs bikes.
to lower back to stock height it's 1 inch or like 1.25, so 1 inch is close enough, additionally, my bike has the floorboards pushed out 7/8 in with the harleygoodies extenders and I was scrapping, now I do not, an added benefit of the higher ride height.
