Nothing is required but checking teh clearance between the top of the tire and bottom of fender. Take a 5/16" nut and tape it to the center of teh tire. Spin teh wheel around and ensure that it does not scrape on teh inside of teh fender. If it does scrape remove fender and elongate the rear two mounting holes with a dremel tool or 3/8" drill bit. Recheck clearance with nut taped to the wheel.
As far as lowering is concerned, it is something that some people do to compensate for the added height (1.25" or so) when adding a 21" wheel to the front of the bike. Lowering it 1" will bring the steering pretty much back into spec. If you have other questions please feel free to ask.
Hey Smiff, we offer a 21" Metzeler or Avon in a white wall. It is a process done by a separate company but it is quite pricey... about $400.00 for either of those in White Walls.
Listen to HogPro. Everyone told me to do nothing but on my Road King Classic the front fender crome trim piece was rubbing. And it is very sharp pointed screw that comes through the fender. I had very little clearance even though I listened to Hogpro and drilled out the rear bolts. I ended up removing the trim and grinding down the pointed screw.
