Say you are hanging out somewhere with some buds and want to listen to tunes. How long can you run the stock stereo before you have to worry about not having enough juice to start the bike? Just curious.

Never tried, but I would say just until you only have enough juice left to start the bike. hahahaha. If the battery goes dead, you went to far.

Seriously, I think it all depends on the strength, age of your battery. Also, every battery is probably a little different. Does every Duracell last the same amount of time in your flashlight? How long can you leave the light on before you do not have enough light to find your way home in the dark?

Depends on your battery condition/charge & draw fm radio...I wouldn't think you'd want to have it on for more than 15-20 minutes at best, but sure someone w/math-electric degree can chime in...

Stock I am sure if you have a newish battery you can get away with it for more than an hour or two. Maybe even more. Running an amp, you can run it for around 1 hour or more but the bike wont start after about 30 mins or so unless you keep the volume low. But its mostly based off the age of your battery.

I've got a J & M 250 watt amp in mine, and I've got the original battery in mine (bought in '08), and I've left mine on for hours at a time and my bike never even cranked slow when I went to start it up. I definitely disagree with that "30 minute" stuff. I've done it many, many times for much longer than that and never had a problem (knock on wood).

I often have my bike stereo on for 20-30 mins without a problem.

I left mine on all night, 5 year old stock battery and Alpine head unit with integrated 50watt amp. Started up with no problem.

I have to agree with the hours instead of minutes. If your battery drains in 15 minutes, you need a NEW one!!!!

Have left mine on for entire evenings with pretty good volume. Never had a problem.
