Default Calling all ECM/Tuners gurus out there, need help.

I'll try to keep this short. I'm getting my bike tuned yet again, this time with a TTS. I have a Thundermax auto tune right now. Prior to that I had my bike tuned with a SEST. Well, I couldn't find my original ECM and had to buy a blank one so that I can get the bike tuned with the TTS.

Here's the question....

So, can I just flash the new blank ECM with the SEST, or do I need to take the bike in with the new ECM and have the dealer flash the ECM first?

What are you trying to achieve?

Your Tmax does not need an ECM, just a base map.
What is the problem?

I'm 99% sure the dealer has to flash the ECM, for a couple reasons. Your SEST was married to your old ECM and won't be able to do anything with the new module.

Yeah, I know. I have the TM on right now. I will be getting rid of it and using a TTS, but had to buy a new ECM because I could not find my old one.

Just thinking.

Why are you on your third tuner? I realize they are all a little different and each may have some unique capability, but the third tuner for the same bike?

Sounds to me like you are searching for something you're never going to find.

I'm no tuner guru (so feel free to ignore my questions) but I do think that I have my fair share of common sense and three tuners for the same bike just doesn't compute unless there's some special circumstance.
