Default Will 2012 switchback front wheel fit on my 11 SG?

Was just checking out the switchback Liked the front wheel style. Was wondering if that would fit on my 2011 SG. I'm pretty sure it will. Has anyone done this? If so how much does the wheel cost and any pics.
Thanks ALOT.

Funny, I asked the same thing at the Stealer.

They told me no. Would be nice to walk in and say I want this bike, with that bikes paint, and that bikes wheels etc.

yes it will fit-- with a bunch of spacers etc.

it won't just "bolt up", the wheel is narrow, so spacers would be needed on the axle- spacers would also be needed to line up the 1 brake caliper with the disc.
and also the fender mounts would need adapters made.
maybe you'd machine off the mount for the discarded caliper ( so dis-assemble the forks and re-assemble after machining and polishing or chrome plating.

probably have to change out the master cylinder and you'd need new brake lines too.

the dealer will say no as there are liability issues putting that wheel on a bike that weighs alot more, and maybe the tire isn't up to the GVW.

try an indy shop/ custom fab shop. each town has a few.

of course the wheel/tire/brakes are all pretty valid issues.

and i bet the cost would be about 2 grand-ish

The chrome switchback wheels are less than $400 each. You would need a bearing kit, but I have no idea what else it would take.

Why not just look for an aftermarket wheel with that look. Would probably be cheaper cause you could get it to fit the bike without moding stuff.

Thats what I was thinking, theres gotta be a nice 5 spoke wheel in the aftermarket available with black spokes and a machined rim like the wheels on the Dyna.

THANKS!

I'm a car guy too and these wheels remind me of the SS Cragar wheels popular in the muscle car era so they suit me just fine.
