Question How Long Is Sea-foamed Gas Good For?

So at the end of January I f**ked up my shoulder requiring surgery. Won't be able to ride again until possibly September. I put the bike on a stand for winter storage last November with a full tank of gas and the appropriate amount of Seafoam gas stabilizer. Will the gas stay good until September? I have heard that it should be good for a year.

You should be fine,if tank is full so minimal moisture can get in the better. I am a believer in Sea Foam. :-)

sea foam will keep gas active for 2 years if you dose it at 1 oz per gallon minimum. had it in my generator for 2 1/2 years & it ran like a clock! Heal well!!
Hatch.

...this is from Sea Foam's own website...

"Stabilizes fuel. Sea Foam Motor Treatment adds volatility to fuel and slows down the rate at which that fuel loses its ability to properly burn. When added to fuel and the fuel is in properly sealed containers or fuel systems, Sea Foam Motor Treatment is a fuel stabilizer for up to 2 years. Always run the engine for a long enough period of time to assure the Sea Foam Motor treatment has been drawn through the entire system fuel system for complete protection."

so I think you are good...

Thanks for the responses.
This has been really tough especially since Minn. has had some great riding weather and an early spring. March was a great month to ride and I saw lots of bikers out that made me jealous. We normally average close to 2000 miles a month during the Minn. riding season and I really miss it. Well, I guess the only positive is less mileage on the bike.

I love Seafoam. I use it every Fall when I top off the tank and store the bike for the Winter. In the spring, it starts rights up and I usually run a couple of tankfuls to start the season.

Go out and start it and let it run up to operating temp very couple of weeks.

I wouldn't do that!! Better read up on storing a bike. Starting it up every couple of weeks causes moisture problems. Check it out. You better off not starting it unless it can be ridden five or ten miles.

I use Seafoam in everything i have that run fuel. I normally put it in my bike with a full tank go out for a run and put it away. Then i keep a tender on it every 2 weeks for 1 day to keep the charge up. I have left it from Nov to may a few yrs due to the weather. I am still running my seafoam treated fuel in my toy hauler generator since last august. The genny starts like it was new every time. So a 6 mo layup wont hurt your bike at all. I would not start it up and not run it. If anything, have a buddy take it out if you want it to get ran. It has to heat up to get any moisture out of the motor and oil if you start it. Idling it will do more harm than good. Better to just keep it nice and clean.
